The most common questions about studying in Stockholm

You apply through the central application portal Universityadmissions.se.

For the spring semester the application deadline is 15 August. For the autumn semester the application deadline is 15 January. Please note that there are separate dates for master’s and bachelor’s, and for the two admissions rounds. You can read more about key dates and deadlines here.

At Study in Sweden you can find information about scholarships both from the Swedish Institute and from Swedish universities that offer scholarships for international students.

At Universityadmissions.se you can search for programs and courses based on the subject of your interest.

Yes, several universities offer Swedish for beginners. In many cases, the courses are intended for exchange students.

Unless you are pursuing a doctorate, there is very little difference.

An application fee of 900 SEK (Swedish kronor) must be received by University Admissions by the deadline indicated in order for your application to be processed. Read more about fees here.
