Swedes are well known for their healthy lifestyle and Stockholmers make no exception. Whether you like indoor exercise, such as aerobics, body toning or yoga, or outdoor activities, such as bouldering, hiking, mountain biking or long power walks, Stockholm has it all. There is also a wide range of team sports to join if you prefer playing football (soccer), hockey, handball, racket ball, etc.
It is easy to be active and enjoy nature in Stockholm. You will find yourself within easy reach of trails for hiking and mountain biking, lakes and beaches for swimming, ski areas, and coastlines for long distance ice-skating.
Students' unions and students' associations offer everything from trendy yoga classes to martial arts and team games - all at affordable prices. And while in Stockholm - why not do as the Swedes and try the famous "Swedish routine" and end a long week with a Swedish massage at one of the many spas and wellness centres in and around Stockholm.
