Music
"The Swedish music wonder" is an expression often used about the Swedish music industry. ABBA and Roxette led the way for today's stars like the Hives and Robyn. And Swedish musicians like Denniz Pop, Max Martin, and Andreas Carlsson have written top-of-the-chart hits for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and Céline Dion.

Where can you listen to live music?
The Stockholm Globe Arena is the largest concert and sports arena in Stockholm and Sweden. Here, you can see great international artists, mainly within rock and pop music. There are also a large number of smaller stages for rock and pop music, some of which are run by student unions or students' associations. The Debaser is a legendary rock and pop club in Stockholm that organises concerts six days a week.
If you prefer classical or new artistic music, Stockholm has several large stages for both symphonic music and opera, which offer a reduced price for students. The Royal College of Music in Stockholm also gives concerts several times a week within a wide range of genres.
